Karol Santistevan

Co-Founder and Executive Director

Karol is a co-founder and the Executive Director for Reach 4A Star Riding Academy.  She brought with her 15 years of management and training experience and a lifetime of being with horses.  In 1999, Karol earned as Associate of Business in Business Administration and Accounting from Casper College.  In 2002, she became a certified Special Olympics Equestrian Coach, a Level 2 Western & English CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) Instructor, and in 2004, her PATH Int’l Registered Level Instructor Certification. Karol was awarded the PATH Int’l Region 10 Instructor of the Year in 2007.  She is currently completing the Master’s of Occupational Therapy program through the University of North Dakota and will graduate in August 2018.  She is excited to bring a new level of knowledge and professionalism to her work at Reach 4A Star by incorporating occupational therapy and horses after graduation.  Karol enjoys spending time with family, especially her husband Tracy and kids Myriah and Paul.  She also likes to bake, sing in choirs (community and church), sew, and just about anything that involves her 4 horses.

Addy Hutchison-Brown


Addy and her husband Chad moved to Casper, WY in January 2017 and she immediately began working at Reach 4A Star. Addy earned her master’s in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2010. Shortly after graduation she moved to Jackson and worked the next 6 years at Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association. She became a PATH Int’l Registered Level Instructor in 2011.  Addy has an eclectic background working in various settings such as, wilderness therapy, residential treatment, community integration trainer for adults with developmental disabilities, and is currently a work readiness trainer and job coach. In her free time Addy enjoys hiking, cross country skiing, reading and spending time with her amazing husband, dog Dale Murphy, and cat Sam 😉

Genie Chapman


Genie is a Wyoming native and started working at Reach 4A Star the summer of 2017.  She spent her youth on the back of a horse exploring the foothills of western Wyoming where her family has lived and ranched for her entire life.  She became a PATH Int’l Registered Level Instructor in 2015 and shortly after, in 2016, earned her degree and license as an occupational therapy assistant.  Genie enjoys combining the best of both of these worlds to help people of all types overcome their personal challenges and live their lives as fully as possible.  Genie has three daughters, Natalie, Alison, and Emalie.  Alison and Emalie enjoy volunteering to help with riding classes, as well as riding their own horses and mules.

Kelsey Mammen


Kelsey joined the Reach 4A Star team as an instructor in August 2017.  Kelsey was introduced to the therapeutic riding world in high school, when she volunteered for four years for a therapeutic riding program.  Before moving to Wyoming, Kelsey worked in Nevada as a therapeutic riding instructor and a mental health associate for an equine assisted program.  She obtained her PATH Int’l Registered Level Instructor Certification in 2014.  Kelsey has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science degree in Couples and Family Counseling with a concentration in Equine Assisted Mental Health at Prescott College.  She wishes to share her lifelong love of horses with those interested in partnering with horses to pursue growth and learning goals.  In her free time, Kelsey enjoys competing in 3-day eventing with her dream horse, Ransom, as well as reading, spending time with her dogs, and connecting with nature.
