Equine Assisted Learning

Riders develop a sense of well-being, improve self-confidence and self-initiative, as well as a sense of independence and acceptance.  Conscious horsemanship contributes positively to balance, reflexes, cognitive skills, focus, and communication skills of individuals through learning lifelong skills.

We offer various riding sessions all year - call us to ask about customized sessions.

Group lessons are 50-60 minutes long and include minimum of 3 riders depending on the skill level of the participants. These lessons are offered year-round.

Private Lessons:  $65/lesson

Private lessons are 50-60 minutes long and are offered year-round.  Reach 4A Star does not offer the sliding scale for private lessons.

A Horse Is...

The primary partner for equine assisted activities such as Adaptive Riding, Equine Assisted Learning, may be an emerging area of practice, but it is certainly not a new idea. As far back as Ancient Greece, the power of using a horse for helping people was recognized and utilized. Then, the European countries started formalizing the use of a horse in therapy and now today it is a worldwide recognized therapy. Adaptive Riding is provided by a certified instructor and has horsemanship goals created around each participant’s abilities and challenges. Equine Assisted Learning is an educational approach focusing on personal growth, teamwork, and development of life skills through equine interactions and partnerships.
