The Reach 4A Star Team

Maria Antonovich

Barn Manager

Maria, born and raised in Casper, has been married for 39 years to her husband, John, and raising their children. Choosing to home-school their children led her to be an educator and allowed her to have a volunteer career which has brought her great joy, allowing her to donate her time and talent.

Maria has also served on fundraising committees and, at a silent auction, won a riding lesson at R4AS. Being raised with horses, she was excited to have horses in her life once again. After participating in activities at the arena, she began her volunteer career fall of 2012 with R4AS.

She quickly became a feeder and a horse handler and then grew into the volunteer barn manager, then into the role of the official barn manager in November of 2021. Maria takes much honor in her job and strives to serve the horses with respect and admiration. When Maria is not at R4AS, she enjoys caring for her mom and spending time with her adult children and five grandchildren. She enjoys riding her horses and participating in different activities such as riding the Pony Express Re-ride and riding in local ranch riding competitions.

Mattni Becker

Lead Instructor

Mattni was raised around horses, they have been an integral part of her life.

However, after being in a horse accident that resulted in catastrophic injuries, she knew horses were the way to healing. That began her journey of exploring how working with horses can assist in the healing process that occurs after a massive trauma.

It became her belief that everyone should have the opportunity to be around a horse and experience the healing they offer.

As Reach's Lead Instructor Mattni holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science, Specializing in Equine Behavior and conscious horsemanship and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming and Montana specializing in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.
