Come help us honor and celebrate Karol Santistevan as she retires as Reach 4A Star’s Executive Director to focus on her occupational therapy practice. It’s a big deal and we’re kicking up our heels!
We tried to keep it a secret to surprise her, but the cat is out of the bag, so please help us get the word out to those who may not have heard.
Saturday, October 1st from 6-9 pm at Reach 4A Star indoor arena where we’re putting in a dance floor for this event.
Special Olympics Equestrian Show
The Special Olympics Wyoming Equestrian statewide competition is
Sept. 9 in Casper. We hope you will come out and support our own Reach4Astar.org athletes & our wonderful Special Olympics equestrian coach, Genie Hensley. Equestrian check-in is at 9:15 and the event starts at 10 am so come out to Reach 4A Star at 4250 N. 6 Mile Road in Casper to cheer them on! 🙌🐎💕
Volunteer Horse Handler/Side Walker Training 9/7 & 9/8 from 10 am - 2 pm both days
Our Next Horse Handler/Side Walker Volunteer Training will be Weds. & Thurs. September 7th & 8th from 10 am-2 pm each day. Previous horse experience is not required as we will train. Attendance both days by new volunteers is required to be able to work with the horses. We encourage existing volunteers to attend from 11-2 both days as a refresher.

Girl Scouts Camps - Week 1-August 1,2,3, 4 from 9am-12 pm & Week 2- August 8,9,10,11 from 1-4 pm Reminder: We will be conducting 3 hour Leadership Camps for Girl Scouts the next two weeks from Monday thru Thursday, August 1,2,3,4 from 9am-12 pm & August 8,9,10,11 from 1-4 pm so will not hold regular adaptive riding during MORNING ONLY of 8/1-4 and from 1-4 pm ONLY 8/8-11. Please check with your instructor if you have questions & check with OT Therapists about OT appointments during Girl Scouts Camp weeks. Thank you!

Casper Horseheads Basball Game w/Fireworks benefitting Reach 4A Star
We are SO excited to be a part of this collegiate baseball game with out hometown team, the Casper Horseheads! There will be Friday night fireworks and Reach 4A Star will be the recipient of the 50/50 raffle and baseball throw. Buy a raffle ticket and you could win the other 50%! Bring the whole family and all of your friends for a fun evening with our own baseball team consisting of college players from around the country who live with host families in Casper during the season. CNFR Special Olympics Rodeo-College National Finals Rodeo- Free Event!
Rider registration starts at 8:30. Event starts at 9 am. Our team of horses & coaches will be there working with Special Olympics participants who partner with College National Finals Rodeo Kings and Queens for a rootin’ tootin’ good time. Our mini horses will also be there to meet everyone.

The Trail Mix Run is a 3 or 10 mile mixed surface run with challenging hills, spring creeks, and usually MUD! This race benefits the Reach 4A Star Riding Academy, which serves residents of all ages and abilities through equine assisted activities. There is also a 3 mile wheelchair and stroller accessible route!
*NEW* Virtual option! If you want to support the Riding Academy from afar, this is the perfect option for you!
*The registration distance says “310” meaning it’s good for either distance.
*Complete your run (or walk!) -after you register and no later than May 21st at midnight- and send your time and distance by May 22nd to fitness.denise@hotmail.com.
*Finisher prizes are only available to those who participate in person on May 21, 2021, but all persons who register by April 22 will receive a shirt.
*The price for all virtual distances is $33.00. A virtual participant who completes the 10 mile distance and chooses to also participate on May 22nd in person will just need to pay the additional $12 (to total the $45.00 fee).
